TenHaute
Company: E-commerce
Role: Director of Audience Development
Tasks: Social Media Marketing Strategy, Audience Engagement, Brand Management, Paid Advertising, SEO, SMO, Affiliate Network, Blogger and Influencer Outreach
As the Director of Audience Development, Ten Haute gave me the unique opportunity to build a social media plan from the ground up. This e-commerce start-up catered to the US Military which I previously did not have experience marketing to. So I bucked down and spent hours and hours just learning who these people are, what they respond to, and how they interact in a social setting. So I did a lot of demographic research for the company before actually investing resources in advertising.
I managed a team of digital planners and social media professionals and was involved in grassroots and interactive social media marketing, paid advertising efforts, and began the foundation for their affiliate network program. I was there for approximately 6 months and in that time I increased their online network from 75 fans to over 35,000 total in their social media presence with minimal financial resources. This growth is sustained and generated over 3,500 potential customers in the affiliate network.

Role: Technical Producer
Tasks: Front-End Development, Design, Ad Sales Support, Marketing Coordination, Content Management, Email Newsletter Marketing
The Technical Producer role is a hybrid between engineering, production, design, and marketing. At DIMG, I was able to immerse myself in multiple cross-functional responsibilities. I was hands on with high-level Disney.com sites and contributed to DisneyChannel.com’s Web Award 2007 for Outstanding Website. One primary project I took lead on was the implementation of Disney’s weekly email newsletter, Disney Insider. Gossip Girl Show

This new site for Gossip Girl required a strategic social media and digital marketing presence. Fans of the show are die-hard and can easily spot a marketing campaign that is not thought out. My primary role in this project was to dive into the audience and run extensive demographic research. The client requested a full profile of the target audience, where they are online, and how to best engage with them. This resulted in a comprehensive social media dashboard that we used to create a best practices and build the community’s presence online.
The site now has over 33,000 fans on Facebook, has thoughtful conversations on Twitter, and produces videos on a regular basis on YouTube.
